This past week, students wanted to share this:
We started about our project about themselves. They are very excited about bringing the little bag of things that represent them for our ladder art project.
They learned the sounds: x, â and in.
They love that they are able to exchange their library books every day.
We made monsters using the 2D shapes (un carrée, un cercle, un triangle, un rectangle, un losange, un diamant, un ovale, un octogone, un hexagone) that we have learned. Then we sorted them as a class and then it was kindergarten and Grade 1 sorting them.
Grade 1 loved painting their polar bear pictures. Grade 1 will be helping their classroom "community' by helping their Kindergarten friends to create their own polar bear painting.
The students say they loved the our Literacy Centers, each having their favourite part. They liked using different writing utensils (pen, crayon, pencil, markers) to write winter vocabulary words.
They liked reading with Mme Grégoire and using their reading skills to read a small book about winter and what we wear.
They enjoyed 'Hot" lunch Friday that happens at the end of the month.
AND, they are enjoying counting the number of days we have been attending school...72 days at school so far! We are heading towards our 100 days of school celebration.
Making yummy cookies with Mona (Isha's mom)
Starting our ladder prjoect by ripping up our paper and using chalk pastel.
Pictures of final art project will be posted later next week!
