What a lovely group of children we have in our classroom community. They are a caring and kind group who are interested in learning.
Students watched and read the story, The Dot. Have a look on your be for it. It's a cute story.
We created half circles using warm and cool colours using pastel chalk.
We met up with Mme Rolufs class and had each child find another circle with Aarm/cool colours with the same size half circle. We have put them together and created a United art board.
This all goes with the Unity theme we are looking at as a school. We also tied it in with is making circles outside last week.
The students learned that we are all the same (we are human) but we are all different and that is ok. We can accept everyone.
We also really practiced printing and writing sentences. Some students went to Mme Rolufs to write sentences and others stayed with me to practice their printing skills.
In math, we have been working on counting 0-100 (actually we are learning a song counting 0-100 000). Check out the resources page.
And students created their own math game board which we will start inventing our own games.
We have been doing a lot of Zumba in class to get our bodies moving and singing a lot.
its been a great week of learning and fun!
