The fire analogy for what our bodies need to function. Carbohydrates gives fast using energy. Then fruits and vegetables which also gives us fast burning energy. Then proteins which allows to have energy for a longer period of time. Then healthy fats duch as avocado also gives us suatained energy.

Measuring out the sandbox we would like. Then Mme Grégoire measures their measurements to see if the students got it right.
Julie Miller came into talk to our students about the fire building blocks with food and our bodies. First we need carbohydrates as our kindling to start the fire and it burns quickly, then we need our fruits and vegetables and then we need proteins to keep us full and the fire burning longer. We could also use healthy fats to keep us fuller longer too.
You can still add a marshmallow on their for something we really enjoy and have in moderation like everything else.
Guess what this is? It’s a surprise !!!
