Sorry this is so late.
Lots of learning last week.
Here is what the class wanted to share:
We learned how to draw pumpkins and use different technique to create our art pieces.
Our special helpers of the week are doing a great job at leading the morning routine.
We have really been practicing knowing our numbers and telling what numbers are pair or odd. We played Bingo to see if we could recognize numbers 0-100.
We looked at the sound 'oi'. and had our first spelling test of the sounds 'on' and 'oi'.
We have been doing really well at lecture a soi (reading to ourselves). We are still getting used to the Daily 5.
Learning to draw pumpkins
Joyce teaching the children about cultural dances of the First Nations Squamish.
Joyce leading the dance with a drum beat.
The children being whales in the dance
Lots of silly dancing rabbits in this class.
This is the 3rd part of a 4 part process to do this art piece.
First, drawing. Then taking white glue and tracing the pencil line. Thirdly, taking fine tipped sharpie and tracing the glue to give our pumpkins/drawings more definition/detail.
The last step, using watercolour to give it some colour.
