At this point, homework will not be 'sent' home in the form of worksheets and such.
'Homework' can be done any time, anywhere.
Ask your child questions about their day. What they have learned. Ask them to teach you new french words/sentences they have learned. Ask them what they are enjoying and not enjoying at school.
'Homework" can be done at the grocery store or at home, you can ask them the colours and names of the fruit they know in french. Ask them to help count (in french) the number of apples that they are putting in the bag.
Any booklet (livret) that your child brings home, ask them to 'read' it to you. When a booklet is sent home, they have had many chances to practice and reading it in class. Your child is usually very excited about whatever they are bringing home and I am sure would love to share.
Please read (in English or in French) to your child at least 15 minutes a night. This will be a good model for them.
